Materials and Quality
What materials are Quare products made from?
Almost all our products are made from Quarex, a proprietary material composed of Resin and high-quality Mineral fillers. This material offers superior impact resistance, is antibacterial and allows for unique textures with a warm, non-slip feel.
The only products not manufactured by Quarex are baths and freestanding cloakroom basins. These latest products are made from Q-tek, a Solid Surface material specially designed for large-scale products
Does the Quarex have a coating?
Yes. Quarex features an exceptionally thin coating, distinct from Gel coat, which preserves textures without dulling them, resulting in a natural appearance and a warm feel. Its superior hardness makes it particularly resistant to scratches, UV rays and hydrolysis.
Furthermore, it is naturally non-slip.
What makes the Quarex coating so special?
This is a high-tech, three-component coating that provides superior adhesion to the substrate, creating a bond at the molecular level. Furthermore, the coating has undergone hydrolysis testing, confirming that there is no risk of water penetration. The coating is also UV-resistant, meaning that the colour will not fade. Finally, it contains silver molecules that provide antibacterial protection.
At Quare Design, we have adapted a unique technology to our industry to ensure that the colour does not fade.
Are Quare shower trays scratch- and chemical-resistant?
Yes. The surface of our products is designed to withstand heavy use. They are highly resistant to stains and common cleaning products, retaining their colour and texture over time.
Are the baths also made from Quarex?
No. We have chosen to offer a new premium range, Q-Tek, which is particularly well-suited to large items such as baths or freestanding washbasins due to its lightness.
This lightness is also visually apparent thanks to the slimness and elegance of the edges.
Are the products certified as non-slip?
Safety first. All our shower trays are certified to the required anti-slip standards to ensure maximum user safety, making them ideal for both private homes and commercial projects and hotels.
In fact, the Pizarra and Street textures are particularly well suited to projects requiring the highest slip-resistance ratings (Class C, Class 3 / PN24).
Customisation and Measurement
Are shower trays available in custom sizes?
Yes. At Quare Design, we offer a wide range of sizes to suit the needs of every project. Each of our models comes in a specific range of measurements, allowing you to find the ideal technical solution for every space without the need for manual adjustments or cutting on site, thus ensuring a flawless factory finish.
What customisation options do you offer in terms of textures and colours?
Customisation is at the heart of what we do. Our products can be manufactured in a wide variety of exclusive textures (such as Pizarra, Street or Crocodile) that lend a unique character to the bathroom. Furthermore, in addition to our Standard Colours, we can produce pieces in any colour from the RAL and NCS colour charts, ensuring they blend seamlessly with the project’s interior design.
How do I choose the right combination for my project?
Thanks to our advanced manufacturing process, architects and interior designers can combine different models, textures and colours to create cohesive spaces. As our products feature standardised measurements and high-precision finishes, we ensure that the final result matches the design exactly, with a minimalist and technical aesthetic.
I need a quarter-circle shower tray – is that possible?
Yes. At Quare, we offer special cuts for both shower trays and worktops. We’ll work with our technical department to bring your project to life, tailored to your specific requirements.
Do you have any products specifically designed for people with reduced mobility?
Yes. In fact, you can design a fully accessible bathroom using Quare products. The Relief Plus XL shower trays, which are extra-large and have a Pizarra texture (anti-slip class C / 3 / PN24), the Poseidon bench, the Metropolitan counter basin with its wall-mounted evacuation, and the height-adjusted deco cistern cover for WCs for people with reduced mobility are all ideal products for improving accessibility.
Is it possible to cut the products to size during installation?
Yes. All shower trays and panels can be cut on site using a diamond saw, although we obviously always recommend that you provide exact measurements so that the cut can be made in the factory.
Installation and Maintenance
How should Quare shower trays be cleaned?
For daily cleaning, we recommend using a soft cloth, water and mild soap. It is important to avoid abrasive scourers or products containing strong solvents. Thanks to our non-porous surface technology, dirt does not penetrate the surface, making it easy to keep it spotlessly clean with minimal effort. Can I use vinegar to remove limescale?
The answer is yes. Here are two ways to clean our products using vinegar.
Option 1: : Leave the industrial-grade cleaning vinegar (not suitable for food use) to work on the sample for half an hour at a temperature of between 20 and 25°C. After this time, scrub the treated area with a sponge and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.
Option 2 : As there may be areas of the shower tray where it is not possible to leave the vinegar to work, the alternative in those areas is to apply the vinegar by scrubbing vigorously with a sponge and then rinse thoroughly with plenty of water.

What happens if my product has a scratch?
You’re in luck: all our Quare Design products are repairable.
Our repair kits use the same products and in the same proportions as those we use in our production process to guarantee the quality and excellence of our products. The application process is straightforward, and we have step-by-step videos on how to carry out a repair using our kits, available here and via our technical support team.
What are the advantages of installing panels rather than tiles in a shower area?
Installing Wall Panels has many advantages:
- Easy to install (takes less time as it is a single piece).
- Maintenance & hygiene (easier to maintain as there are fewer grouts).
- Cost-effective as it requires less installation time.
If I install a cistern cover for WC and it breaks, do I have to break the cistern to repair it?
No. Simply by removing the silicone seal, you can take the cistern off the toilet, access the cistern to repair it, and then reinstall it.
